Mission resources for the local church

Nazarenes everywhere are sharing the missions stories of the church. Telling the story instills passion for missions. When Christ's followers know what is at stake and hear how others are obeying God's call to missions, they are challenged to participate as well. NMI is committed to helping local churches tell the missions story. We provide resources and support for the local church as it informs and educates its members, not only in what other Nazarenes are doing in missions, but how they can get involved, too. For more information, visit these links:

Northwest District Project 2022: Rio Grande Valley

It has been four years since we began our last project and your district NMI council has been praying and reviewing several options from missionaries around the world to determine where God would have us focus our ministry efforts next. We now feel a definite leading. He has kept us in this hemisphere, and He has called on us to partner with the South Texas District for the next couple of years and assist them in new construction and renovation needs as well as vast opportunities for evangelism, outreach, compassionate ministry, children’s ministry, etc. The Rio Grande Valley is home to 1.3 million people and the culture is heavily influenced by the Mexican people and heritage. There is an ancient African proverb that says, “When elephants fight, it is the grass that suffers.” As governments argue over the movement of people along our southern border, it is people who suffer, people who have become our neighbors, people for whom the local churches feel compelled to minister to.

And they could use some help.

We will be working with former missionaries, David and Shelley Webb, who directed us in our work in Southern Mexico. They will also be our guest speakers at Mission Convention in April.

Our first Work & Witness team is scheduled to go June 25 – July 2, 2022. Click here for more information about that trip.

Other teams are welcome to come later. View this document for more information about team opportunities.
