Northwest District longs to serve the peoples of our communities. Although mainly populated with people of white anglo-saxon heritage (90+%), many of our cities and towns are seeing a change with the addition of immigrants from many nations of the world. There has been, for many decades, a strong hispanic/latino population.

Hispanic leaders on our district include:

  • Kennewick Discipulos de Hoy - Fred & Severa Fuentes

  • Moses Lake Casa de Restauracion - Doroteo & Patricia Rivera

  • Othello Agape Love Ministries - Homero & Velma Montemayor

  • Richland El Senor es Dios - co-pastors Jose & Juana Gonzalez

  • Wapato - Armando & Herminia Esqueda

  • Wenatchee Rios de Agua Viva - Walter & Guadalupe Delgado

John and Gerri GrosVenor continue to serve our Native Americans, living on the Colville Indian Reservation. They serve as an incarnational presence among the people.

Spokane First Church continues to minister to the Chin (Myanmar) refugee population through a Parent Affiliated Congregation (PAC). Most of this congregation has immigrated due to ethnic and religious persecution.
